Meet Krista Waggoner M.A., CCC-SLP

Hi! I’m Krista, a speech-language pathologist (SLP) & the owner of Kind Pediatric Therapy licensed in Texas and Florida. I’m an ASHA certified speech-language pathologist who has a passion for working with children. My first goal is to always build rapport with my clients and utilize a child-led, strength-based therapy approach. I’m so happy that you found my practice!

I obtained my undergraduate degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a minor in Human Development and Family Sciences from The Ohio State University (GO BUCKS!). I received my graduate degree in Speech-Language pathology at The University of Toledo. I am certified in Sensory Strategies for SLPs (Inside Out by Jessie Ginsburg) and trained in TLC Lively Letters. I received the Award for Continuing Education (ACE) award from ASHA.

My experience includes working in pediatrics in both a clinical and private school setting where I treated speech sound disorders, expressive and receptive language disorders, pragmatic language disorders, fluency disorders and phonological awareness. I also have experience working with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems and obtaining devices through funding reports.

Since 2017, I have worked with Autistic children and their families. In one of my clinical experiences, I even served on a team who completed diagnostic evaluations to determine an Autism diagnosis. These experiences have helped me grow and learn to treat the unique needs of my clients. I love celebrating their milestones and budding personalities.

When I’m not in the speech “room,” you may find me out at the Rockwall Farmer’s market, Orangetheory Fitness, eating out at Frankie’s Casa or the Bagel Lady, or exploring the Dallas Area. I look forward to meeting you!
